John E. Bannon (b. 1966, Evanston, IL) is a Chicago-based multi-media visual artist with work in public and private collections countrywide, including: Chicago Transit Authority Headquarters, Cellular One in Baltimore, Rowan University in New Jersey and Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority. He obtained a BFA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, followed by an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Notable exhibitions include Olbrich Botanical Gardens (Madison, WI), Ken Saunders Gallery (Chicago), the Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of Glass (Neenah, WI), Zenith Gallery (DC), and Hyde Park Art Center (Chicago). He has received numerous accolades including grants from the Illinois Arts Council, a Community Artist Assistance (CAAP) Grant, a Governor’s International Arts Exchange Program Grant, IL and a Travel Grant from Fuji Hunt.
