Eric Stefanski (b. 1989, Chicago) is a painter based in Chicago, IL. He received his BA from DePaul University, studied at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago and received his MFA from The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA. Stefanski’s texted-based paintings balance elements of humor and vulnerability, and simultaneously offer biting critiques of contemporary culture. He has exhibited widely throughout the US and overseas, including recent solo and group shows in Escat Gallery (Barcelona), Sberro Gallery (Paris), Lowell Ryan Projects (LA), Rich Gallery (Taiwan), Guy Hepner (NY), and Porter Gallery (Japan).
